Pikayo
This restaurant is one of the leading practitioners of a new wave in Puerto Rican cooking that honors culinary heritage but updates and re-creates dishes with a contemporary lightness and sophistications. Its suavely smooth green plantain soup, for example, is not so much fare for a Sunday night supper as it is for a dinner party. To experience the contrast between the green and ripe states of plantain, order Pikayo's elegant plantain with crab, an inverted timbale comprised of delicate morsels of land crab in a sauce flavored with a hint of honey and enveloped in thin slices of subtly sweet ripe plantain.
Restaurateur and master chef Wilo Benet closed the doors of his original Pikayo and re-created it here for the artsy crowd flocking to the new museum. Twenty-two tables in cream and soft blue are awash in lighting that changes softly and subtly. On large screens, guests watch live "films" (thankfully, silent) of chef Benet and his staff at work in the kitchen (occasionally, museum exhibits are screened instead). Divine dishes make choosing difficult: broiled lobster with a sour sop beurre blanc and julienned chorizo; conch spring rolls with orange sofrito sauce; steamed cipollini onions and a foi gras terrine with truffle honey; cabbage stuffed with diced rabbit fricassee and raisins. The wine list has some 250 labels and focuses on California and Spanish vintages.
La Casona

La Quinta
"La Quinta", is a unique Eco-Tourism concept created for the exclusive enjoyment of individuals, groups or convention activities. It is nestled in The Rainforest Experience Farms, a 60 acre plantation of tropical exotic flowers and foliage in Fajardo. The farm is a rain forest at an altitude of 1,800 feet. Every step has been taken to maintain the forest in its natural state; maintaining the eco-system by generating its own electricity by windmill, collecting rainwater for its needs and by consciously planting within the foresee using its natural shade according to the needs of each plant species.
"La Quinta" at The Rainforest Experience Farms is an exquisite house on a mountain top surrounded by luscious gardens and trails, decorated and furnished with an eye for detail, quality and functionality. You are surrounded at all times by the most beautiful panoramic view of the East Coast of Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, the Spanish and U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as the Rain Forest itself.
The house is equipped with a "state of the art" industrial kitchen and outdoor grills to suit your catering needs. The bar area in the first level opens out to a roofed terrace and a grand patio which extends to gardens of very rare species of plants. Inside the bar area, a lounge set-up with a fireplace is furnished very comfortable for your enjoyment and relaxations. The house offer two additional exquisitely decorated rooms, which can be used as chatting, dining or conference rooms.
"La Quinta" is set up to accommodate group activities, let it be daytime or nighttime, theme parties, corporate parties, formal dinners, meetings, etc. Groups of 50 to 1,000 persons would be very comfortable in the house and its surroundings. In addition, facilities for open-air informal parties or activities exist right in the middle of the rain forest, surrounded by acres and acres of tropical flower plants and a beautiful ravine.
Tropical Restaurant
Tropical Restaurant has been a local favorite for over 25 years and is pleased to welcome you to its third location in Condado Village across the street from the Marriott Hotel.
Tropical Condado is set in a beautiful residential mansion in the center of Condado dating back to 1902.
The Restaurant serves Cuban, Puerto Rican and International cuisine, plus a daily variety of fresh fish and seafood at very reasonable prices.
